Youth auditions for production at Watford Palace Theatre
Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre is looking for talented young performers for their latest production of Grimm Tales at Watford Palace Theatre.
Auditions are being held across Hertfordshire in June and anyone who is aged between 13 and 18 and attends a council funded school or college in the county is eligible to take part.
The re will be auditions at Tring School, on Wednesday, June 17 at 4pm and at Hemel Hempstead School, on Friday, June 19 at 4pm.
Grimm Tales is adapted by multi-award winning writer Carol Ann Duffy, who was recently appointed as the first female Poet Laureate.
It is dramatised by Tim Supple, who directed the Indian A Midsummer Night's Dream which began its UK tour at the Watford Palace in 2007.
It will be directed by James Williams, the Young People's Director at Watford Palace Theatre.
The show is a collection of much-loved classic fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm, including Hansel & Gretel, Rumplestiltskin, and The Golden Goose.
These stories take audiences a dark and magical journey into childhood hopes and fears where the forest is full of danger, fortunes can be found in the most unexpected places, and families struggle to keep the wolf from the door.
