Yobs steal bike from young girl

Teenage yobs stole a nine year old girl's bike while she was out cycling.

The youngster was pushed off her bicycle by five teenage boys who then made off with the black BMX.

It happened in Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley between 4pm and 5pm on Saturday (August 28).

The girl was not injured.

All of the suspects are believed to be aged 15 or 16 years old and four of the five were on bikes.

PC Chris Aherne said: "Thankfully the girl was not injured but understandable has been shaken by what has happened.

"For a group of boys to target a young girl in an unprovoked incident is cowardly. Someone must have seen something or someone will know the identity of the group and I would ask that you call us with information without delay so we can deal with those responsible accordingly."

Anyone with information is asked to call Herts Constabulary on 0845 33 00 222, quoting crime reference number C2/10/2432.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
