Will Berkhamsted M&S store get go-ahead?

Politicians will decide on Thursday, September 6, if plans for a town centre Marks & Spencer should be given permission.

Metric Property has applied to convert the former Royal Mail sorting office in Berkhamsted High Street into a M&S Simply Food store and two other business units.

Dacorum Borough Council’s development control committee will decide during a 7pm meeting at Hemel Hempstead Civic Centre at if the scheme should go ahead.

Berkhamsted Town Council previously opposed the plans on the grounds that they would make the building too tall, and that they did not include enough parking spaces.
