A firm that offers team-building challenges and corporate events is celebrating after bagging a top industry award.

Bovingdon-based Wildgoose was presented the coveted Best Solution to a Business Challenge Award at the Conference and Incentive Travel magazine awards ceremony.

And in a double whammy the firm also received a commendation on the night in the Best Use of Technology category.

Managing director at Wildgoose Jonny Edser said: “We had an amazing night and we really didn’t expect to win as we were up against much bigger and more established companied than ours.”

Conference and Incentive Travel is one of the leading magazines for the multi-billion pound events sector and the awards are among the most hotly contested in the industry.

Mr Edser said: “Although we are growing fast and experiencing a big year on year increase in our turnover, these awards are as much about industry reputation and rasing our profile as an acknowledgement of a job well done. It’s a success for our clients too.

“We’ve taken on five new people in the past nine months, including our new marketing manager Annie Horgan-Smith who is going to really strategise our marketing activities and make the most of all the opportunities we have.

“We won our first aware for the most impressive growth from the Entrepreneurs Circle last year and this latest award is a great addition to our success. We will soon need a bigger shelf.”
