A valuable stash of watches, necklaces, rings and other jewellery stolen around the country could be linked to Hertfordshire burglaries.
Police are releasing images of the precious hoard in an attempt to reunite the items with their rightful owners, after they were recovered yesterday.
Three people were arrested in east London in connection with the stolen objects, which are thought to have been stolen during burglaries in Herts, Beds, Cambs, London, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent.
Officers are appealing to burglary victims from the county to look at the photos and get in touch if they believe they spot any of their own jewellery.
Det Sgt Kerry Bull, from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Specialist Investigation Team, said: “We have been making attempts to trace possible victims and reunite them with their stolen property. I would ask anyone who has been the victim of a burglary in recent months to view the photos and contact me if they do recognise anything.”
