SCORES of businesses have spoken out against plans for resident-only permits that could leave their staff with nowhere to park.

Their concerns were voiced by Ivor Eisenstadt during a meeting of Berkhamsted’s Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Eisenstadt said: “This scheme could tip our town into a downward spiral.”
