Voiln concert this weekend
Talented young violinists will entertain in a charity concert on Sunday (July 5).
St Peter's Church, in Berkhamsted, will host a concert performed by youngsters aged between eight and 18 at 3.30pm.
Felicity Lipman, head of Chamber Music at Junior Guildhall and co-founder of the British Suzuki Institute, will be bringing her pupils to perform.
The violinists have learned to play using the Suzuki technique, which is a method based on the belief all children possess ability and if nurtured the right way, they can become successful musicians.
The musicians will be playing a range of pieces including music from Bach, Vivaldi, Bruch, Franck and Shostakovich.
Berkhamsted violin teacher Shenagh Franklin, who teachers Suzuki violin to her students, will be taking many of her pupils to the concert and they will participate at the end of the show.
Tickets will be available on the door (children 2 and adults 4) or from Kate Locke on 07714 837030.
All the money raised will go to Hope and Homes for Children, a charity which supports vulnerable children across the world, helping them to grow up within a caring family environment.
