A TRAGEDY that shook the village of Bovingdon more than 40 years ago is being featured on a TV documentary series about suspicious deaths.

In 1971 Graham Young poisoned more than 70 staff with thallium while working at the John Hadland Labs in the village. Nicknamed the Bovingdon Bug due to so many people being taken ill before Young was found to be the culprit, it led to the deaths of Bob Egle and Fred Biggs who worked at the labs.

It is being featured on series Curious & Unusual Deaths 2 on the Crime and Investigation Network on Friday nights at 9pm.
