HERE’S a sneak preview of some of the musical entertainment that guests at a church concert can expect this weekend.
A quartet of local vicars will be performing at St Francis Church in Hammerfield, Hemel Hempstead, on Saturday from 7.30pm.
The clergy, who serve parishes in Hemel Hempstead, Bovingdon and Rickmansworth, will be singing Tudor anthems and lively madrigals. Instrumental music will also be provided by a flute, oboe and organ ensemble.
Those involved are soprano Jenny Hill (St Mary’s, Hemel Hempstead), alto Deborah Snowball (St Mary’s, Rickmansworth), tenor James Reveley (Parish of Boxmoor), and bass Charles Burch (St Lawrence, Bovingdon).
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5 on the door. All proceeds will go towards repairing the leaking roof at St Francis.
