Victory for campaigners who helped stop housing plan

NEIGHBOURS are over the moon after hearing that a planning inspector has rejected plans for new homes on their doorstep.

Plans for six new houses and 14 extra car parking spaces in the grounds of The Grey House in Kitsbury Road, Berkhamsted, were first submitted last year.

Dacorum Borough Council’s development control committee rejected the plans against the advice of their officers.

Applicant Black Lab Developments took its case to the planning inspector, but then the site’s neighbours formed The Grey House Association in opposition.

On Thursday, the inspector announced he had rejected the appeal.
