Make sure you check out your chosen restaurant’s cleanliness credentials before you dine out this Mother’s Day, says Dacorum Borough Council.
Its food safety officers check that Dacorum’s food outlets’ hygiene standards meet legal requirements.
They’re rated on a scale ranging from a top rating of five which is ‘very good’ to the lowest rating of zero, which means urgent improvement is necessary. They are then given a distinctive food rating certificate and encouraged to display this in their window.
