The Sarah Beenys and Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowens of Hemel Hempstead have the chance to revamp their homes with designer gear, thanks to a new upmarket mini-store opening tomorrow.
Six new jobs have been created by the launch of Chelsea-born home furnishing company Habitat’s 12th mini-store outside of central London. It will take up residence within the existing Homebase store in Apsley’s retail park.
Apsley’s Homebase has stocked Habitat products for two years but now has a new ‘store-in-store’ format, covering 2,200 square feet on two floors.
Habitat’s Clare Askem said: “Habitat has always been about making great design accessible to as many people as possible so we are delighted to be opening our new mini Habitat store in Hemel Hempstead.
“In Apsley, over the past two years we have introduced an edited, integrated range of Habitat products within the Homebase collection, but these products are not presented as a single unified brand – something that the mini-store format now provides.
“The Habitat integrated range within Homebase has been a success with customers in the Herts region and so the mini-store was the next logical step within the Hemel Hempstead branch.”
One manager and five sales staff will work within the new mini-store.
