YOUNGSTERS buried a time capsule to mark the centenary year of Two Waters School on the Manor Estate in Apsley.

The capsule, which includes photos and essays the children have written, will be dug up in 25 years’ time.

Headteacher Liz Maykels said: “The children have written about what school is like today, there are memory sticks, a school prospectus and photos.”

At the same time a lime tree was planted to mark the occasion and Councillor Brian Ayling thanked Bovis, who are developing parts of the Manor Estate, for sponsoring both the tree and the time capsule.

Paul Boatman, project director at Bovis, said: “Bovis are always very keen to get involved with the local community when we have a development, especially when you have a large one like this of 325 houses.”
