TWO little girls are behind the gigantic sunflowers we’re featuring this week.
Morgan Slade, aged just four, grew several in the back garden of her Grove Road home in Tring, below – the tallest was 11 feet.
Mum Lorraine, 37, said: “She planted them from the seeds of sunflowers we grew last year, and enjoyed watering them and watching them grow.”
Gemma Hackett, 29, sent us this snap of niece Abigail Hackett with her 12ft plant, right.
The four-year-old had gardening success with two sunflower seeds that she planted in her nan’s garden in High Street Green, Hemel Hempstead. The other one reached 8ft tall.
