A man with hearing difficulties is running a marathon to raise funds for the training of hearing dogs for deaf people.
Simon Stevenson, 46, of Tring will take part in the run at Beachy Head, Eastbourne – his second marathon this year – on Saturday.
Community fundraising manager for the Hearing Dogs charity Lisa Bishop said: “It is absolutely fantastic that Simon has chosen to support us.
“It costs approximately £45,000 to breed, train and provide lifetime care for a hearing dog and we receive no government funding.
“This makes fundraisers like Simon absolutely vital to keep the charity going.”
