Tring’s apple fans create a pippin of a parade

Tring’s autumnal celebrations continued at the weekend with the annual Apple Fayre parade weaving its way down the High Street.

The procession began at the Kings Arms pub led by Tring’s own ‘apple man’ and chairman of the town’s local history museum Tim Amsden.

Mayor Roxanne Ransley hitched a ride in the apple cart while schoolchildren followed, showing off their homemade scarecrows on the journey down to the Farmers Market on Brook Street.

The seasonal fun continued in the market place with morris dancing, apple juicing and a local history exhibition.
