PLANS to introduce residential parking permits are still being drawn up almost a year after townspeople were asked what they thought of the idea.
Berkhamsted Town Council has conducted two surveys, but it is still tweaking plans for a potential 98 new parking spaces in the town.
During its annual general meeting on Thursday, member Ron Cowie said: “We have a guilty conscience about these, because it is taking so long to get something done.
“It’s because we are trying to get something that the majority of people want.”
