A committee set up in order to steer Tring towards the status of ‘dementia friendly town’ met for the first time last Tuesday.

Chairman John Allan said: “We aim to make Tring a community where those with dementia can feel safe and where those in Tring understand dementia and the needs of those with dementia in the community.”

The Dementia Initiative committee also set up website www.dementia friendlytring.org.uk, which has recently gone live.

John, leader of Tring Town Council, said anyone interested in finding out more is welcome to attend An Introduction to Dementia evening on Sunday, June 2 at Tring High Street Baptist Church at 6.30pm.
