THESE hardy walkers are gearing up for a charity challenge that will put them through their paces.
They will be taking part in this year’s Berkhamsted Walk, which is this year being held on Sunday, May 13.
It is being held to raise money for The Children’s Society, which cares for run-away youngsters.
Twelve and 18-mile circular routes will set off from The Court House in the town’s Church Lane and a six-miler begins and ends at Ashridge House during the event.
Peter White, 72, of Cross Oak Road, Berkhamsted, has been taking part in the event for more than 30 years.
He said: “It’s a fantastically good countryside area and the route is always different.”
