Come along and chill out with the Gazette crew this evening at Chilfest - the highly-anticipated pop concert Tring has been waiting for.

Reporters Becca Choules and David O’Neill will be joined by video reporter Natalee Hazelwood as they mingle with the crowds and cover the biggest event that’s happened in Tring for years.

The weather forecast couldn’t be better, with temperatures expected to soar to a sizzling 26 degrees.

The Chilfest team have been hard at work since Monday building the stage and preparing the site on Cow Lane for an estimated 11,000 revellers over the next two days.

With gates opening at 4pm and the first act taking to the stage at 7pm, the crowds are set for a fun evening of contemporary pop in Pendley Meadow.

X Factor popstrels Little Mix are headlining, and are supported by Britain’s Got Talent finalists Loveable Rogues, 19-year-old female pop-sensation-in-waiting Tich, electronic music band Mano’s Daughter and Heather Small of M People fame.

A retro extravaganza is planned for Saturday night, with the likes of Tony Hadley, Rick Astley and Hazel O’Connor transporting the crowds back to the 1980s.

The concert is a celebration of organiser Steve Butcher’s longevity in the events industry, and the two-night festival is expected to raise more than £30,000 for local charities Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Aylesbury Women’s Aid.
