Guider Katie Hill did her best to keep a group of pop stars happy when she worked as a backstage runner at a concert.

The 18-year-old from Tring looked after bands Loick Eissien and Rizzle Kicks by fetching snacks and drinks to their dressing room at the Girl Guiding UK Big Gig in London’s Wembley Arena.

The annual concert for guides included Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, Dionne Bromfield and The Wanted on the line up of bands playing to more than 30,000 girls.

Katie, who is a guide leader at 2nd Tring Guides, applied to be a runner to gain work experience that might help her to get a job at a music venue in the future.

She said: “I met The Wanted, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Pixie Lott. They were just walking around and hanging around in the green room.

“To start with I was quite shy but after a while we were all chatting and laughing.

“I would definitely do it again.”
