A teen beauty pageant contestant is set to raise much-needed funds for local charity The Pepper Foundation this year as part of her charity work.
Tring School student Amber-lily Natella, 13, was selected as a semi-finalist for Junior Miss Teen Great Britain 2013. The Year 8 student said: “I wanted to raise awareness for Pepper as it’s often the local charities which get overlooked.”
The youngster has several fundraising events in the pipeline before the August final, which will be held in Blackpool.
Her plans include a raffle, a sponsored walk and a bike ride in order to raise funds for the Tring-based organisation, which cares for sick children.
Mum Carole said: “We are very happy, very pleased, and we’re supporting her.”
