A budding fashion designer has created a shop window display at the charity store where she is selling her garments.

Ashlyns A-level student Ellen Wood has designed and made a one-off collection of fashion garments restyled from donated clothing and haberdashery.

Working closely with fashion and vintage specialists at Berkhamsted’s High Street Oxfam, the 17-year-old had created a unique collection that is on sale now.

Store manager Jane Hockings said: “We are fortunate to have the help of so many creative young volunteers. We are very grateful to Ellen for her help and hard work.”

The teenager hopes to go on to study fashion at university.
