South West Herts MP David Gauke has thrown his support behind proposals to change the boundaries of parliamentary constituencies.

He said each should all be made up of around 80,000 electors.

He said: “It’s only fair that constituencies are roughly the same size and that we reduce the number of MPs in parliament.

“On its merits, it is a sensible change that would result in a fairer system and it should go ahead.”
