THE son of a Highfield man is hosting a fundraising fete for Herts Air Ambulance after the service came to his father’s aid.
The charity chopper, which depends on public support, flew in to help Peter Whittle, 45, when he suffered a heart attack at Dunsely Farm in Tring on May 8.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics Peter, 45, sadly died. Now his son Ben Whittle, who works as a stock controller at Tesco in Jarman Park, wants to show his support for the chopper.
He is appealing for raffle prizes to help rake in cash during the event on Saturday, August 11 at Adeyfield Community Centre.
