There’s less than a month to have your say on Herts Council’s ‘Inspiring Libraries’ strategy before the consultation ends on 7 December.

The authority has revealed more than 2,300 people have completed the questionnaire, and said the drop-in sessions held at libraries across the county so far have been well attended.

There are a further 26 drop-in sessions being held at libraries between now and the end of the consultation, in which attendees can find out more about proposals including categorising the county’s 46 libraries into distinct groups, increasing volunteers numbers and investing in digital technologies such as virtual librarians.

Drop-ins in and near Dacorum include:

> Friday, November 21 from 11am to 1pm at Abbots Langley library
> Friday, November 28 from 3pm to 5pm at Leverstock Green library

> Tuesday, December 2 – a mobile session in Markyate at Long Meadow from 2.15pm to 2.50pm and Cavendish Road from 3pm to 4pm

> Thursday, December 4 from 3pm to 5pm at Berkhamsted library

>Friday, December 5 from 10am to noon at Kings Langley library

> Saturday, December 6 from 11am to 1pm at Hemel Hempstead library
