Salon first to cut a deal for footie pitch
The first corporate sponsor has signed up to support a £1.3million sports appeal.
Cient hair salon, on Berkhamsted High Street, has signed sign a two-year sponsorship deal with BerkoAstro- the community project run by Ashlyns School and Berkhamsted Raiders CFC to provide a full-sized, floodlit all-weather football pitch and changing facilities for the town.
The deal will be a big boost to the project's long-term goal of raising 1.3million to build the facility.
Raiders chairman, Keith Pollard, said: "We are thrilled Cient has chosen to support the BerkoAstro appeal. The sponsorship deal will not only make them an important and prominent part of the project but also earn them the gratitude of the town's young people and sport lovers."
As a major sponsor Cient will have donated at least 1,000 and in return will get a promotional board at the pitch for two years, their logo on promotional material, advertising space in the Raiders Tournament programme and links from the Berkhamsted and Tring Gazette, BerkoAstro and Raiders websites. They will also get eight VIP tickets for a celebrity football match being held on March 21 at Ashlyns School.
"Being a local business we place great importance on supporting the local community and giving something back," explained Patricia Buller, Salon Director of Cient. "Our business prides itself on growing, developing and supporting young people.
"It is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in with Ashlyns School and Raiders which perfectly endorses our philosophy of education and supporting the local community."
As well as becoming a major sponsor, companies can sign up to become a business partner which costs a minimum of 100 and will get your logo on The Gazette and BerkoAstro websites and a certificate of recognition to display.
