JOGGERS are gearing up for the first ever Gaddesden Gallop.

The 10k run was set up by Natasha Bermingham and other villagers to help raise money for a new roof at the Little Gaddesden Sports Pavilion in Church Road.

The circular route from the sports pavilion goes through the Ashridge Estate, Nettleden, St Margaret’s and Hudnall Corner.

About 100 people have signed up for the Sunday fun run, which organisers from committee the Gaddesden Society hope will become an annual village fundraiser.

Entry is £10 per person and the race will start at 11am. There’s also a shorter children’s fun run at 2pm, which costs £3.

Natasha said: “We are hoping it will be a fun family event.”
