SARACENS rugby champ Chris Wyles has been trying out his new dress ahead of the Dame for a Laugh fundraiser on Sunday, April 1.

The walk is being staged to raise money for The Hospice of St Francis in Northchurch.

It sets off from Camelot Rugby Club in Chaulden Lane, Hemel Hempstead, at 2pm and lasts for 2.5 miles.

The event is just for men, and entrants have to wear drag.

Chris, whose mother Jessica was looked after by the hospice last year, said: “It’s just a bit of fun and great to encourage some competitive spirit.”

He spoke on BBC Three Counties radio on Saturday morning, wearing a frock from the hospice’s charity shop in Berkhamsted High Street.
