Road fault site gets upgraded

editorial image

Frustrated drivers may now find it easier to report potholes and other road faults using an updated system on Herts County Council’s website.

A County Hall report into the shortcomings of the online service made 17 redesign recommendations.

The improvements include a video tutorial on the system and the ability to ‘subscribe’ to an existing fault.

County and borough councillor for Tring Nick Hollinghurst said: “The Liberal Democrat group has been lobbying for many months to get this put right and as a consequence we were pleased to see improvements made to the system. However, there is still work yet to be done.

“We are hopeful that between our software developers and the new contractors, we will get it right.”
