A HOSPICE shop that has undergone a makeover was reopened by model and fashion designer April Banbury.

The beauty queen opened the new look Hospice of St Francis store in Bellgate, Highfield on Saturday.

It has been closed for two weeks for the revamp and now has a new name - Love to Give - and more of a fashion focus inside the shop. There is also bric-a-brac, books and cards on offer.

Manager Kate Camans said: “We have lots of very loyal customers, but are also hoping that our new look will encourage new customers to enjoy shopping with us.”

A green queen herself, April has made a corset from a bed sheet and nets, a dress from curtains and an evening gown from a charity shop dress and chiffon.
