A cabinet reshuffle has seen Councillor Terry Douris step in head of planning and regeneration at Dacorum Borough Council to replace Stephen Holmes.

The shake-up – announced at the annual meeting of the council last Wednesday – also means the role of service and performance improvement, held by Councillor Brian Ayling, will change to that of cabinet support member with a reduced salary.

The six other cabinet positions remain unchanged.

Mr Douris represents Grovehill.

Mr Holmes suddenly resigned his positions on the borough council and Herts County Council following his arrest in connection with allegations of possession of indecent images of children.
