People in Ivinghoe braved the rain to witness former Barron Knights musician Butch Baker declare the CuriousiTEA Rooms officially open.

The cafe is part of the revived Ivinghoe Old School Community Hub, and is housed in the Victorian school building on the village high street.

After a decade without a cafe, hub trustees chair Carol Tarrant said the people of Ivinghoe are excited to have the amenity once more: “The cafe has brightened all our lives, it’s a lovely thing.”

On offer are freshly-made sandwiches, paninis, ciabattas and more, along with an extensive refreshments menu.

The cafe is open 9am to 4.30pm Tuesdays to Sundays, and 9am to 5.30pm on Mondays.
