What’s your earliest memory?

Seeing my brother Michael in his pram when I was 2 years old.

What do you wish they’d taught you at school, but didn’t?

History of the world from an unbiased point of view rather than a British one.

Ignore what you’re doing now - if you could do any job in the world, what would it be and why?

Guitarist in a band - I’m a frustrated rock star.

Of all the places you’ve been in your life, which would you recommend to a stranger?

Tibet.

If you could pass one new law tomorrow, what would it be and why?

Legalisation of Cannabis - it’s less harmful than alcohol and tobacco, it would be easy to change, the government could get tax revenues from it and the police could spend more time on real crimes.

You can invite three people - living or dead, from any period - round for dinner. Who are they and why?

Jimi Hendrix, Leonardo da Vinci and Einstein... it would be a great conversation and Jimi could entertain us at the end of the meal.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

The power to eradicate poverty - too many children dying every hour.

How do you relax?

Listening to music and playing with my dogs.

What’s your greatest fear?

Having my face eaten off by rats.

If you had to give up something tomorrow, what would you find it hardest to live without?

Music.

What’s the most important lesson that life has taught you so far?

People are the same the world over no matter where or in what circumstances they were born.

Favourite books of all time

Through a Scanner Darkly - brings back memories of my university days in the seventies and those friends.

Favourite albums/songs of all time

Hot Rats- Frank Zappa, Electric Music for the Mind and Body- Country Joe and the Fish and Highway 61 Revisited- Bob Dylan... I keep coming back to them after all these years.

Have you got a favourite shop within 15 miles of Hemel Hempstead town centre?

Oxfam Book and Music Shop in High Street, Berkhamsted.

Which person in the public eye would you most like to meet and why?

David Cameron so I can expose the charalatan that he is.

Favourite restaurants

Meze House in Tring, Blue Ball in Bellingdon and Alford Arms in Frithden.

What do you go out of your way to avoid? Tell us about it...

Musicals. I’ve always hated them.
