Goodies that were displayed around the borough to promote the London Games went under the hammer on Saturday.

Dacorum Borough Council sold a total of 43 lots, including bunting, lampost banners and flags, raising £1,520.

Grovehill Councillor Alex Bhinder was auctioneer for the morning event at the Civic Centre in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.

Cash raised will go to the Dacorum 2012 Legacy Fund, which will go towards a community project, but what this will be has not yet been decided.

The lot that fetched the most cash was a mixture of banners, bunting and flags, which sold for £110.
