AN increase in the demand for pilates classes has led to one businesses moving into a larger space.

Tring Pilates launched its new studio at Sutton Court, in Church Yard, on Friday, December 2.

The company, which has been running in the town for 11 years, offers people both equipment-based and mat-based pilates, for no more than three clients per instructor at any one time.

Its team has specialist knowledge in a wide range of issues, such as scoliosis in children, sports injury, posture and correction, osteoporosis, stroke recovery, pregnancy post-natal and post-operation mobility.

Owner Veronique Coignac said that the opening of the new studio highlighted how much awareness and adoption of pilates had increased in recent years.

She said: “It is our job to make people feel safe in the studio and to have confidence in their own bodies.

“Then, quite quickly they relax and their bodies really respond – the clients have a lot of fun, whilst accepting challenges they would previously have deemed impossible.”
