AS this poppy field blooms for summer, a solitary photographer lines up his shot to frame the picturesque landscape forever.

Photographer Tim Gould has often seen the field blooming every couple of years but this was the first time he had taken the opportunity to take the shot.

TIm, 39, is a professional photographer for Hyatt Studios in Tring, and makes his living shooting portraits of people in a studio environment.

But in his spare time he enjoys taking to the countryside around Tring and Berkhamsted to snap natural images for pleasure.

The field of poppies, just off Tring Road between Tring and Northchurch, is one such shot that Tim goes out of his way to take.

He said: “The field of poppies provided a brilliantly bright and colourful shot with a great splash of colour.

“I normally work with people in our studio, which provides a great dynamic without the distraction of a background.

“As a personal hobby I like to dive in and do the same with nature.”

Tim has been a professional photographer for seven years, but has been using SLR cameras for around 20.

He uploads many of his pictures to his website www.chadwickimages.co.uk

Tim hopes to upload his poppy shot in the near future.
