Politicians demand Little Gaddesden sign is replaced

editorial image

VILLAGE leaders have been waiting for a year for a knocked-down sign to be replaced by Herts Highways.

The sign, which let drivers approaching from Hudnall Lane know that they had arrived in Little Gaddesden, was destroyed after being knocked over by a water company last summer, the village parish council heard on Monday.

Douglas Adams said: “It is pretty ludicrous to have a village without a sign.

“A year to produce a village sign is starting to border on ridiculous.”
