Have you seen a distinctive pony cart which was stolen in Hemel Hempstead? If so police want to hear from you.

Officers need witnesses and information following the theft of the two-seater metal cart from a stable on Featherbed Lane between 2pm on Tuesday, February 24 and 2pm on Wednesday, February 25 police revealed today.

The cart is quite distinctive in appearance and there aren’t many of them around so it would be instantly recognisable to anyone who has come across it

Offenders forced entry into the stable before cutting away a section of wire fence to remove the red and black Bennington Fun Bug GL (similar to the one pictured) which is worth more than £2,500.

PC Daniel Webb, who is investigating, said: “The cart is quite distinctive in appearance and there aren’t many of them around so it would be instantly recognisable to anyone who has come across it.

“I would appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen the cart in the past week to get in contact with me.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Featherbed Lane area between the times stated.”
