Peppa Pig day proves popular

Families queued inside the Marlowes shopping centre to get a snap with Peppa and George.

Hundreds of excited children and their families queued up in Hemel Hempstead’s Marlowes shopping centre to meet their cartoon idols.

Peppa Pig and her little brother George made five appearances throughout the day on Thursday, and many young fans had their pictures taken with the popular pair.

Carly Cullen of Marlowes said: “The event was received extremely well. We had queues forming even before the first appearance at 11am.

“Peppa and George made everyone smile and we had many excited children around all day. Lots of them were wearing their Peppa Pig T-shirts and clothing specially for the occasion.”

The upper level of the centre’s car park had to be opened to cater for the extra people, something which has not been done since the run-up to Christmas.
