Onlookers persevered for two hours waiting for late Paralympic torch

Waiting for Video...

Thousands of people lined the streets in Dacorum until the early hours this morning (Wednesday) waiting for the arrival of the Paralympic torch.

The flame that was passing through Tring, Berkhamsted and Bourne End on its way to London was more than two hours late.

There were young children and even babies in prams out on the streets way past their bedtimes and a real atmosphere of determination from everyone to see the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ event.

The torch was scheduled to travel through Tring at 11.10pm but didn’t arrive until gone 1.15am.
