Thousands of employees on a giant business park are being encouraged to get on their bikes next Thursday.
The Maylands on the Move campaign is promoting Cycle to Work Day as a way of highlighting the benefits of the bicycle against getting behind the wheel of a car.
The campaign says more than one third of the 16,000 or so employees on the giant Maylands Business Park in Hemel Hempstead live within six miles of their workplace, and a quarter are less than three miles away.
Maylands on the Move believes workers should be willing to consider a cycle commute of up to 30 minutes.
They also say it is a great way to keep fit and get the recommended 150 minutes of exercise each week.
The group also promotes electric car clubs, the use of public transport and car sharing.
