A brand new sixth form centre has been officially opened by mayor of Tring Roxanne Ransley.
The Tring School hub now has new carpets, furniture and plug-in points for youngsters’ laptops and tablet computers.
The refurbishment project – which was combined financially with the renovation of toilets throughout the school – cost £130,000.
Speaking at today’s sixth-form opening, deputy head boy Joseph Baldwin said: “In a previous life, this room was in a state of disarray – poor lighting, broken chairs, tables with missing legs and even the odd sausage roll on the floor.
“It desperately needed a major refurbishment, in order that all sixth-form students have the opportunity to study in what now is a fantastic facility.”
