A MUM-OF-TWO says that ingesting your own placenta after giving birth will do you the world of good.

Lynnea Shrief, of Ridgeway, Berkhamsted, says they are full of vitamins that help boost breast milk supply, reduce post-natal bleeding and ward off the baby blues.

She said: “It never made sense to me why people throw their placentas away.

“Animals eat them straight away after birth. Why don’t we?”
