The Wild Wild West came to Kings Langley over the weekend, as the village welcomed a cowboy twist to its annual carnival.
Warm weather on the day also added to the desert theme, and hundreds of people turned out to bask in the sun and enjoy the Texas Rangers opening the event with a big bang.
Carnival committee chairman Beverley Funnell said: “Our new entertainers were a great addition to the day.
“The excellent weather meant that our games arena, which had something for everyone, was well used.”
The event was opened by the mayor of Hemel Hempstead supported by Miss Hertfordshire International 2014, Charlotte Mellish, and entertainers Vivo D’Arte and The Skehill Academy of Irish Dance performed, along with the Kings Langley Community Choir.
The day is thought to have brought in £4,500 which will be split between good causes in the community.
