Verve brings the right vibe to town nightlife

New bar Verve is coming to Hemel Hempstead

New bar Verve is coming to Hemel Hempstead

A brand new bar and club venue which aims to become the ‘place to be’ in Hertfordshire is to welcome its first punters in Hemel Hempstead later this month... but only if they’re dressed appropriately.

Upmarket establishment Verve – due to open in a redeveloped unit on Marlowes on Friday, July 25 – hopes to pride itself on a classy clientele and bans trainers from its premises, though in a unique hook, will provide shoes and shirts for those who arrive unprepared.

The new bar, club and lounge boasts that it will shape a new trend of partying in the town, offering a stylish, safe and enjoyable night out.

Themed inside as the interior of a mansion house, the nightspot features an eye-catching chess-themed dance floor, booth seating and luxurious décor.

With an over-21s policy and mix of modern and traditional styles, the club is hoped to appeal to younger and older professionals alike, and according to Verve’s Shaun O’Leary, is already attracting lots of interest.

He said: “We are getting some very positive feedback from people who say they usually always go outside of Hemel for a night out, but that it will be nice to have somewhere more civilised in the town centre.

“We have already had hundreds of people expressing interest in getting on the the guestlist for our opening weekend on July 25 and 26.

“We want to bring people from outside of the town, from places like St Albans, Berkhamsted and Watford.

“You will always get people who knock Hemel but I disagree – we can have classy places here, and that’s what we want to achieve.”

An exclusive VIP event opened by Mayor of Dacorum Allan Lawson will take place on the Thursday night prior to the grand opening.

The bar will be open from 7.30pm to 3.30am every weekend, with entry prices varying according to time. It will offer a range of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits, and play music from the 80s, 90s and present day.

Verve will bring around 25 jobs to the area. Anyone interested in working for the venue can email jobs@vervebarhemel.co.uk.
