Hemel Hempstead’s second Aldi store is due to open tomorrow – and the budget supermarket giant has announced it is bringing with it 45 new jobs.

The store along London Road, next to the town’s entrance to the A41, follows the European brand’s Redbourn Road store which opened just eight months ago.

As well as the employment opportunities brought by the discount duo, Aldi also prides itself on the range of community involvement schemes it has undertaken in the area.

The store has already agreed sponsorship of the Hemel Hempstead Junior FC Under 7s and Under 8s sports kits, and has donated refreshments to Lime Walk Primary School for its end of year party.

The supermarket says it is also working with the Bennetts End Youth Centre to provide further donations.

New store manager Dave Yateman said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our new store in Hemel Hempstead.

“We hope the local community enjoys the grand opening celebrations and our high quality products at everyday low prices.

“We are very excited about our involvement with community initiatives and look forward to working with more local groups in the future.”

The new store will be open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Visit aldirecruit
