Pride in Dacorum

For the third year running the Gazette will be recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of those working hard to make Dacorum a special place to live and work.

The hunt is on to seek out unsung heroes and people who have a positive impact on the community for this year’s Pride in Dacorum awards.

Those deserving recognition can range from youngsters making a difference with their energy and enthusiasm to those who have put in years of dedicated support and care.

Nominating that someone special is easy simply click here and select Pride in Dacorum 2014 to make your choice.

There are 10 individual categories -young achiever, service with a smile, inspire a generation, care and community, raising the profile of the town, excellence in education, friendly neighbour, outstanding example of bravery, fundraiser of the year, unsung hero/heroine.

Readers are welcome to nominate more than one person and/or nominate one person or a team in more than one category.

The nomination deadline is October 6, with the awards night being held at Pendley Manor in Tring on October 24.

Tickets for the awards evening cost £26.50 for adults and £16.50 for under 12s. This includes a welcome drink and a three course meal.

Local companies are invited to support the event and sponsor specific categories. In return they will receive a multi-media branding package plus tickets to attend the event and will be able to present the winner of their category and, of course, be associated with some of Dacorum’s finest people.
