The Wendover branch of the Rotary Club is appealing for an extra boost to help it reach its fundraising target by collecting unwanted bras.

The club’s BUST project is now in its third year and involves collecting old brassieres and sending them to women in Third World countries, while also raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

Local businesses offer themselves up as donation points and so far this year, the club has amassed 13,055 bras. They need just 1,945 to reach their target of 15,000.

The ingenious ‘bra tree’ at Pictons Solicitors on Frogmore Street, Tring, produced more than two full bags of bras, and they are accepting more until June.
