The Woodland Trust is calling on those with a passion for nature to get stuck in with the restoration project in Tring Park tomorrow.
Anyone interested in helping to revamp the park’s landscape – a £329,000 lottery-funded project – is asked to meet in the park at 10am tomorrow.
Tring Park’s people engagement officer Karen Trickey says no experience is required – just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
She said: “Tring Park is a fantastic setting which contains important wildlife habitats like irreplaceable ancient woodland.
“We’re looking for volunteers with a passion for the outdoors who would like to get stuck in and help us manage this unique landscape.”
The project will also see the establishment of a number of walking trails and improvements of access into the park. The funding has already enabled the trust to carry out vital conservation work and open up viewpoints across the site.
